Badass Box 4 Shimano X-Set (for e-bikes with integrated Shimano sensor SM-DUE10)
A tuning kit specifically for Shimano e-bikes that feature the Shimano SM-DUE10 sensor integrated into the dropout (see compatible sensor below). The kit includes the "Badass Box 4 Shimano 2019" - a tuning tool that completely removes the 25 km/h speed limit of Shimano e-bike mid-drive motors. 

Please keep in mind: Installing this tuning tool requires a few minor modifications, so it requires a bit of technical skill. For example, the rear wheel must be removed to access the Shimano sensor in the dropout. This is necessary so that the Shimano sensor can be screwed onto the included universal adapter and attached to the chainstay.

Legal status can be restored
After the universal adapter with the screwed-on Shimano sensor has been attached to the chainstay using the supplied cable ties, you can switch on the tuning by Badass Box onto the adapter. After that, you only have to attach the spoke magnet to the housing of the Badass Box The tuning is now active. By disassembling the e-bike, its legal condition can be restored at any time.

More robust than ever before
The electrics of the Badass Box 4 Shimano 2019 is glued and sealed into the housing with a special casting compound from the automotive industry. This makes the box more robust and less sensitive to moisture than any other Badass Box Versions before.

Each individual box is tested for correct functionality before and after casting.

How does it work Badass Box 4?
This tuning set is equipped with the Badass Box 4 Shimano 2019. After the Badass Box Once plugged in, it transmits a modified signal, allowing the 25 km/h speed limit to be circumvented and exceeded. This occurs contactlessly, i.e., without interfering with the engine electronics. The engine does not require any complicated opening, and there is no risk of damage.

Important note: Due to the described functional principle, the e-bike display will no longer display correct values when tuning is active. This applies to both speed and derived values. We recommend using GPS-enabled devices, such as bike computers or smartphones, to record accurate ride data. You can find special handlebar mounts for smartphones in our shop. here.

Within the Badass Box In the 4th generation, the CR2 battery of the previous models was replaced with a more powerful AAA battery. Thanks to the specially developed and patented FEET (Field Enhancement & Elimination Technology), you can go a long way with a single battery. If necessary, the battery can be replaced at any time, without any tools. Replacement batteries can be purchased inexpensively almost anywhere. The manufacturer recommends replacing the battery once a year at the start of the season.
